A fantastic blower vacuum!! November 19, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a fantastic product. I purchased this unit back in April/2008 for $70.00 on Amazon. What a unit. I cannot say one negative thing about it.I have a typical suburban yard(about 1/3 acre with a few trees dropping leaves in the fall).
In the spring and summer, as a blower this unit has no peer. Although it is corded, that is a very minor inconvenience compared to the sterling performance as a blower that this unit is capable of.
In the fall, as a vacuum and mulcher it is great! When used properly, almost never clogs and even if it does clog, it self clears after 10-20 seconds.
If you purchase this unit and use it according to instructions, you will do nothing but smile with regard to price, performance and reliability.

LOTS of Power November 17, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
All I can say is "WOW!" After reading about this blower/vacuum in Consumer Reports, and how well it worked, I decided to purchase it. I searched all over the internet, but found that Amazon's "amazing" price of just under $70 was unbeatable. That included free shipping. My blower/vac arrived the next day. Lucky me! Anyhow, It has PLENTY of power. Matter of fact, it has more power than the gas powered backpack blower I had, which pleasantly surprised me. I used the Toro to clean my gutters, and blow and vacuum my leaves, and it did all 3 jobs easily. Again, I'm "blown away" with the amount of power it has. The only "inconvenience" is having to pull an extension cord around with it, but you can solve that by buying the longest extension cord you can find. You can't go wrong purchasing this blower/vacuum. The price is right, and it works well. I wish I could rate it 6 stars instead of 5!
Toro Ultra 12 Amp Variable Speed Blower w/Metal Impellar November 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recently purchased the Toro Ultra after owning a gas powered unit. The gas unit I had lasted about three seasons and repairs were going to cost about as much as buying new. I used the Toro right after receiving it, and I am very pleased. The only drawback to electric is having to drag around the cord, but the unit operates noticably stronger than my old gas blower with no required maintenance. Also the metal impellar is a nice feature.
Performs as expected - the best non-gas blower/vac available November 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This blower/vac has two features that make it the best available: 1. It uses a metal grinding/chopping impeller which doesn't wear out. 2. It has an infinitely variable blower velocity able to adjust to the conditions at hand.
