 Something fancy for your wine November 4, 2008
I ordered this for my boyfriend who has been intrigued by Vinturi for a long time. Wine and related gadgets are his territory. We have tried a few store around, but never found it on the shelf. Finally I decided to order one.
As advertised, this little device does improve the taste of wine a lot. We both agreed that the wine tasted richer and fuller after pouring through Vinturi. On that account, it was a good purchase. Plus, the price from Amazon was pretty good.
Other extra credits are the reactions from friends. A good friend who is quite knowledgeable about wine asked "what is a wine aerator?", which gave me a chance to show my 'expertise', :)
The aerator makes funny sound when you pour wine through. That's just how this thing 'forces' wine to breathe. So probably you should avoid pouring wine using Vinturi directly to your guest's glass.

This is an outstanding device. It adds O2 to red wine making the need to "let it breath" unnecessary. I tried it on some sub par vintages and it amped up the taste markedly. This is required equipment for red wine lovers.
Vinturi Essential Wine Aerator is ESSENTIAL! October 11, 2008
I was introduced to the Vinturi Aerator while visiting friends in Colorado last month. I ordered one on line to see if I really could tell the difference between aerated wine and non-aerated wine. The difference is quite pronounced, especially in red wines. The wine aerator has become a permanent fixture in our home and it is used almost daily. Although the instructions say the aerator can be washed in the dishwasher, I do not find this necessary. I rinse it in hot water after it has been used and I let it air dry before putting it away.

I bought the first one in early July and then 6 in the following monthes as gifts. This explains my opinion enough.

This looks pretty awesome, I haven't it used it yet because it is a gift for someone. Oh, and it is plastic, not glass as I thought it was, (I really didn't read the description). But, it is well received by different wine publications, so it's probably a safe bet that it works pretty well.
