Good Iron but one Design Flaw November 16, 2008 This is a good iron but it has one annoying design flaw. Whilst ironing, imperceptible movements will rotate the circular knob that controls steam output - you'll be halfway through ironing a shirt when you stop and wonder why no more steam is coming out. If you're like me, you want max steam coming out at all times, and you'll be constantly having to check that the knob hasn't moved. It's annoying.
Otherwise this iron would've got 5-stars.
Other reviews talk about how much steam this thing puts out - for me, it puts out enough but I've had other irons (Sunbeams) that put out more.
Black & Decker D2030 iron November 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Black & Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron We are very pleased with this purchase. My husband does his own ironing and he was glad to be able to see what the fabric setting was on the iron by type of fabric listed in the large digital screen. It heats up quickly, this feature was important to me as I am a quilter and don't like waiting for the iron to get hot. It even tells you when it needs to be cleaned. We were very happy with product.
An Iron for a Steal November 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had many Irons in my life time but this one is the winner hands down. Lets face it Irons are not made to last forever, No matter the price, if you get 2-3 years out of it you are ahead of the game, This Iron is perfect for my Ironing needs, lots of steam, plenty of heat and a super smooth sole plate, I never had it so easy and I always find my self looking forward to Ironing day. Never did that before, Thanks Black & Decker.
Buying was a good decision November 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I did days of research before deciding to buy the Black & Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron. I used my last iron for 20 years and wanted to make sure a new iron would not only do a better job but be worth what I paid for it. I couldn't be happier with the D2030. The water reservoir for steam ironing is large so I don't need to refill often. The steam is strong and the spray works great. This iron is about the same weight as my old one. Ironing is faster now. I'm glad I took the time to read reviews on the D2030. They helped me decide to buy and that has been a very good decision!
Buy a T-Fal November 5, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Purchased the D2030 based on Consumer Reports and the reviews here on Amazon. Bought it on Sept 18, it was dead on Oct 31. Too late to return it to Amazon. Black and Decker will only replace it, no refund, AND it will cost me $7.50 to get the replacement. Its defective, in my opinion B&D should replace it free of charge. Specifically the digital circuitry has failed. The iron shuts itself off after using it for just a few minutes. Already had a T-Fal should have bought another.
