5 out of 5 stars great little coffeemaker   February 9, 2008

bought this to replace my Mr. coffee which had a thermal pot. You couldn't tell how much coffee was left. The features I like are the size(doesn't take much room on the counter), the style, the two-tone color (I don't like stainless steel), easy to fill with water that is filtered, the comfortable handle, and, of course, the great tasting HOT coffee.
Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Very satisfied   February 9, 2008

This product suits our needs to a T. No electronics to fail except a 2hr shutoff which is a good safety feature. The carafe is easy in and out, does not spill when you pour, and has an ergonomic handle. It brews fast and delivers hot coffee. It is a militta style basket (good) with swing-out easy access. Bottom line is that it is very functional while being tasteful and doesn't cost a fortune. The one and only drawback was that we would have preferred a white coffee maker. Oh, well, it's the coffee that counts.

5 out of 5 stars Great cup of coffee, easy to use   February 3, 2008
After loving our Braun Flavor Select Coffee Maker, we tried in vain to replace it with the same model but they didn't seem to be offering that product anymore. Next, we tried a Cuisinart. It just wasn't the same, and we have longed for a better coffee maker since then. This new Braun is great. Very easy to use, no bells and whistles. Makes a great cup of coffee.

4 out of 5 stars Good choice for me   January 30, 2008
Coffeemaker is simple to operate and relatively conserving of counter space.
Makes a good hot cup of drip coffee. Styling is nice except for the "fat red lip" on/off switch- they could have made this less obtrusive!
I hate those Dearth Vader Cusinarts- you know the ones that look like Sherman tanks- this is a much more attractive alternative. The swing basket comes off- easy to pop in the dishwasher with the filter. I definitely recommend this machine!

4 out of 5 stars Good coffee maker   January 28, 2008

This is a good little coffee maker. I stress the word "little" because while it is a "10 cup" coffee maker, it's those infamous 4oz cups that manufacturers seem to think people use. Which means that it actually brews about 4 decent sized mugs.

We've gone through our share of coffee makers, and my maxim has become "the cheaper the better". It doesn't take too many $100 coffee makers in the trash to make you rethink your purchasing, and this little guy is actually high-end for us.

It's simple to use - there's only one button on it, and it makes a great cup of coffee. No drips from the spout, either.

There's been a trend lately for manufacturers to include elaborate water filters, but I think this is a scam to force people to keep buying them. This unit also has an inline filter and a little dial to remind me to buy a new one each month, but guess what? I took the filter out, and the coffee still tastes fine.
