Really soft wood. VERY POORLY MADE. Not for outside!!! Cracks and loses finish within weeks! Do Not buy this!!!!

This is a great option to the Rubbermaid totes for storage. The wood is obviously not the quality of its more expensive counterparts, but it works just wonderfully and isn't an eyesore. The cover, also, stays up, doesn't crash down on little hands. A great feature if you have small ones.
