| Customer Reviews:
Do not buy November 21, 2008 We had some rats in our house. I decided to purchase this so the rat would at least stay out of my room until it was caught. I positioned it as instructed against the wall and I thought it was a perfect because one speaker faced my bedroom door and the other pointed toward the window, both with unobstructed paths. On top of that, my bedroom has wooden floors (ultrasound gets absorbed in carpets and soft surfaces).
Well, I woke up in the middle of the night to the sounds of the rat. For those who think the rat was maybe already in my room, let me assure you it wasn't. I then even picked up the victor ultra sound and pointed it toward the rat so maybe the sound would encourage the rat to move to the window and out my house. NOTHING!!! the rat couldn't have cared less!!!
Unfortunately in the process of trying to catch it it ran under my door into the rest of the house. I ended up stuffing a towel under my door, sleeping with the lights on and cuddling with a broom in my arms.
Oh, still hasn't been caught but some bait packages have been nibbled on.
One more thing.. it says that one of the frequencies is a sound of a dominant rat. Does that mean that it just weeds out the less dominant rat so you are stuck with the "stronger" rats in your house?... and then what if those "stronger" rats breed.
