The Pawleys Island Tri-Beam textured steel hammock stand was worth every cent of the pruchase. I researched a lot of stands and found this to be the best deal for its price. The delivery of the item was fine. No damage as was reported in the past. The assembly was so easy! NO screwdrivers, hammers or even a man needed! The appearance was great. Nice lines and a fine deep green color with a bit of texture to the poles. As far as weight bearing, I have had over 300 lbs of people piled on our hammock and felt no worries. A truly fine purchase.
Perfect and Easy June 23, 2008
I was a little nervous ordering this item as I read reviews that said the box is very damaged when it arrives. It arrived in perfect condition, no damage to box whatever. It is so well made it should last for quite a long time. My husband is not very handy, but for him, putting it together was a piece of cake. One, two, three, and it was together and ready to hang our Pawley's Island Hammock. Two people can certainly move it to another spot if needed. I highly recommend this stand, trust me it is just perfect!

I love Amazon and buy a lot of things here, this hammock stand was not one of them, way over priced. I paid $90 from JCPenny for mine.
Very heavy and well made, box came all torn up with steel showing up.
Super easy to put together. Big BUT is when you try to sit in your hammock, steel frame shakes and moves around. We will try to put the holes and put big screws and see if that helps.

The stand works great. but its sad to see that after all the negative reviews about the box falling apart during shipping have not had any effect. Expect scratches on your hammock stand until something is done about this. while the ups guy told me i could return it, i dont see much point until the packaging issue is fixed. i choose not to have another scratched stand sent to me and just put clear coat over the scratched parts to prevent rust.
other than this issue i love this stand. works perfectly with my pawleys island hammock.

THIS HAMMOCK STAND IS OF TOP QUALITY. THE STAND IS EASY TO PUT TOGETHER AND IS VERY STURDY. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO RECCOMMEND THAT YOU PURCHASE WHEELS THAT YOU CAN PUT ON YOUR STAND. THIS MAKES IT EASY TO MOVE FROM PLACE TO PLACE.
