I have had a beard for over 20 years and I can not believe that it took me this long to get a trimmer. I can see no fault with this product. It is easy to use, it takes less time to trim my beard, and the results are a consistent even trim every time.
I love the vacuum, as it eliminates almost all clean up after trimming my beard. A minor problem is that it too easy to hit the vacuum button while you are trimming your beard. Other than that, it is a great product.

I'm very disappointed with this trimmer. The thing that made me buy it is the thing that makes this unusable. I speak of the vacuum. It does a good job at keeping the hair out of the sink, but its placement sets the trimmer so far back from the guard that using this trimmer on setting 2 (which is what I always used on my old Norelco T7500 to keep it nice and tight) is the equivalent of setting 7 or so (which is fairly long) on my old trimmer so I am unable to get a nice tight, trim look. Using it on a mustache is useless especially right underneath your nose. It is simply impossible to angle the trimmer in such a way as to trim the hair. I have attempted to use this trimmer twice and both times have had to result to pulling my very old T7500 out of the drawer and using it to get a decent trim.
Even setting this thing on the closest setting (#1) the trimmer still sets back waaaaay too far from the guard to be useful. If you contort you wrists and elbows you can get a fairly close trim on setting 1, but it is a giant pain to have to keep twisting and turning this trimmer around to achieve an even halfway decent trim. This thing is done. I'm shopping around for another brand.
I've been a Norelco user for over 10 years, but they blew it with this one!

Had an older version which used to spray hair everwhere. While not perfect, the vacuum feature on the T980 is wonderful. Much cleaner. I am slightly disappointed how difficult it is to use the piece for under the mustache.

This was a complete waste of money. It doesn't cut the beard hair evenly and the length guide slips so that it will suddenly cut your beard down to nearly bald with no warning. The craftsmanship feels flimsy and on the shortest setting it scratches up the skin. The suction feature doesn't work well and you end up with hair everywhere to clean up. Please save your money and buy something that works!
