High magnification, versatile illumination, and multi-angle viewing make this tri-fold mirror from Jerdon a virtual cockpit of makeup application. Structured for panoramic viewing, the mirror features two adjustable side panels, plus a center section with regular reflection on one side and 5X magnification on the other. Two bars of fluorescent lighting offer cool, glare-free illumination, and the color-correct light menu lights your face for day or evening, the office or home. A built-in outlet accommodates curling irons and roller sets, while an adjustable backstand offers 11 angles to work from. The entire unit folds up flat for storage. Though the mirror does not feel as substantial as the company's all-metal models, it does roll several features into one compact model. In addition, the reflection is consistently clear, and the side panels stay put where you place them. Fully extended, the mirror measures 19 by 12 inches. Better than Most Mirrors January 7, 2009
Ordered this mirror and for the first day or so did not think I would keep it. The magnification is 5X and does give one a good view of one's face (wrinkles and all) but find that fact that one has to sit so close to get a clear view disconcerting. Also don't care for the different light settings as none seem to be very realistic. All and all it is a good mirror and appears well made (I followed intructions with regard to holding the light switch down for full illumination) and have had no problems thus far. Preferred my older Hartman makeup mirror with the built in clock (handy for the am rush) but think this is an acceptable substitute and in some ways better (can see close up well which helps a lot with tweezing, etc. Would probably purchase again

Liked the outlet on the front to plug in blow dryer or straightener etc.
Gives good lighting to face for applying make-up. Best value for the money of other ones that were compared.

The lights will not even come on anymore. Neither lights are working after having it 1 (one) month! I am VERY dissatisfied.

What a bright change from the dimly lit lighted mirror I had been using! Too bad the local stores don't carry this, but hurrah for Amazon, where one can find ANYTHING, and with free shipping to boot!
