Product Description This stylish atomic clock and portable weather stations is widely popular due to its quality, accuracy and attractive appearance. The wireless home weather station features a newer, faster IT transmission time of every four seconds for outside weather. The weather forecaster can also read outside temperatures down to negative 39.8-degrees. Atomic time and date, as well as outside temperature, inside temperature, and inside humidity are all clearly displayed on the easy to read digital face. The weather station is made of plastic with a modern silver finish complemented by cherry finished panels for a sophisticated look! Assembly level/degree of difficulty: No Assembly Required.
Amazon.com Review Aspiring meteorologists and will be thrilled with this La Crosse Technology wireless weather station. Ideal for darkrooms, greenhouses, or other environments that require a consistent temperature reading, the WS-7014CH records indoor temperature, humidity, and remote temperature as measured by the included TX37U-IT remote sensor. For those who need multiple temperature readings, the unit is compatible with up to three remote sensors, and displays the information in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. If gauging current temperature isn't enough to satisfy, the station also forecasts upcoming weather conditions based on changing air pressure, employing several user-friendly icons, such as clouds, raindrops, or the sun, in the display. The forecast is approximately 75 percent accurate for 12 to 20 hours. Like all La Crosse Technology products, the included clock and date indicator receive their readings from the U.S. atomic clock in Fort Collins, Colorado, ensuring that the time is always 100 percent accurate. In addition, the weather station stores both daily maximum and minimum temperatures in its memory. The remote sensor is accurate up to 330 feet away with no obstructions, and approximately 50 to 65 feet away if exterior or interior walls block the weather station. Other features include a 12- or 24-hour time mode and an air-pressure tendency arrow. The unit is comfortable either hanging on a wall or free standing and measures 3-1/2 by 5-1/2 by 1-1/4 inches (W x H x D). Both the display unit and remote require two AA batteries. I am very satisfied with this item. I like its great look (matches with my room decor), performance, accuracy of data and particularly instant (continuous) data transfer from the outdoor Swiss made precision sensor that came with the weather station. The forecast icon (Sunny, Cloudy and rainy) based on changing barometric pressure provides a good visual indication of expected weather. Along with above it has a good digital clock showing atomic time and date with provision for manual setting plus alarm function. I would highly recommend this item to others for home or office use.
Works very well, when you need to check temperature and humidity September 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This wireless weather station is very easy to install and use, and keep records of hi & low temperatures in order to track the weather during long periods. The forecast, as all the forecast, works with 35 to 45% of accuracy. The distance between main station and the transmitters is more than enough and adequate to work without troubles..
La Crosse Wireless Weather Station September 4, 2008 This is a very accurate product.I use it in my Greenhouse and it works very well.
Much Better than Expected September 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had several "weather stations" from varying brands over the past decade. This model from LaCrosse Technology works better than them all. It is simple to program (don't throw away the instructions...settings are not entirely intuitive), the readout is vividly clear, the temperature readings for hot, hot Phoenix appear to be relatively accurate, the "forecast" provides for multiple sensitivity settings (important for the dry desert), and the whole thing is surprisingly attractive.
