4 out of 5 stars Wow, CHEAP batteries but work just fine   November 9, 2008
So I was checking out in line at a major discount retailer thinking about needing some batteries for my smoke detectors at home. I saw that they were around $2 a piece! Since when did batteries get so expensive?

Now I know, personal safety is more important than the $10 worth of batteries needed to put fresh 9-Volts in all my smoke/fire detectors, but still...

So I skipped that purchase, came home, and started comparing prices on some batteries. These came up pretty quickly in the product search on Amazon so I decided to try them out.

They work great! They've lasted at least 8 months so far (aren't you supposed to change them every 6 months anyway?).

3 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for.   October 28, 2008
I could tell right out of the package these weren't high quality batteries, they simply feel light and cheap. They did work for my flashlight but there life cycle is pretty short.
On the other hand they didn't cost much so, yes, it's another case of "You get what you pay for"

1 out of 5 stars I would NOT buy this battey again.   May 24, 2008

I have a battery tester. I tested my batteries right of the pack
and 1 was dead and the other was ok. I tested it because of the
'Total Garbage' review. Thank You for the review. 1 star for one
working battery.

One came dead. The other only lasted 1 month in a smoke detector. Good thing it's cheap.

3 out of 5 stars Batteries may expire soon   February 22, 2008

I just started using these batteries yesterday and don't know how long they will last, but if you plan on stocking up on these, note that they could expire very soon. The batteries I received in February 2008 expire at the end of 2008. They should be fine for short-term use, but if you're looking for batteries for an emergency kit, you might want to look elsewhere.
