Amazon.com Quick to heat and gentle on your hair, these hot rollers make it easy to curl hair every day instead of just on special occasions. Rollers heat up in just two minutes from their ionic port and are charged with ionic energy, which protects your hair from frizziness and static and actually promotes conditioning and shine while you curl. Each roller has stay-cool plastic ends on either side that are easy to grasp and protect hands from the heat while winding sections of hair. The kit includes eight jumbo-sized rollers for soft, sophisticated-looking curls; six large rollers for creating loose, bouncy curls on medium-length hair; and six medium-sized rollers for creating tighter curls or for use on shorter hair. The rollers also come with twenty lightweight hair clips to hold them in place without leaving any noticeable crimp marks in your curls. This hair setter is covered by Conair under a 1-year limited warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Great set November 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this hair curler set. I have purchased two of them now, one for each daughter. Both have long, thick hair and we find that it does an excellent job of providing just the right amount of curl for those occasions when you need it. It takes just a few minutes to heat up and the soft velvet lining on the rods make it less damaging to hair. The only thing I always hate is the clips! Even though there is a small case to hold them, sometimes they get lost! Replacement clip sets would be much appreciated. I think the curler set contains just the right number of each size of roller -- even better though would be to have two ore large ones!! Recommended.
not too shabby... the clips are terrible, though November 11, 2008 first of all, do NOT buy this from amazon. they will overcharge you and i purchased mine for like 20 bucks at drugstore.com. that being said, these curlers are awesome. i've been very impressed with my hair (which is pretty dry and unhealthy so it curls easily). My hair holds the curls and looks shiny - also, it only takes about 15 min to set.
My hair looks flippy and cute right now because i curled it the night before! yay.
my only complaint is that the pins to hold the curlers SUCK. ugh. what a pain in the butt. i have to hold my head annoyingly still so the curlers dont slip out. those stupid pins dont work well at all. i usually put the curlers in and then put on a cap so i can go around without them falling out.
i bought other conair clips that are supposed to keep the curlers in place but they sucked as well. i will be giving them a neg review for sure. still, the curlers themselves are great!
Not quite perfect - but pretty darn good for the money! October 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had this set now for a few years. I would consider myself an special occasion user of hot rollers (maybe 10 times a year). Here are the pros:
1) There are plenty of rollers for doing long (but not super long) hair 2) They heat up quickly and are very hot to get a good curl 3) They take a beating and have moved across country with me and still keep going.
... and of course the cons: 1) The clips are worthless, they don't stay in and leave a mark on your hair 2) They are not easy to travel because they are not compact
I'd suggest getting the Conair-SPC10-Super-Clips to go along with these.
Best of luck and happy curls!
Love It Love It October 15, 2008 When I first opened up the box to this set of hot rollers, I though it was not going to last me long because it seemed cheap. Once I started to hook it up and everything it heated up quite quick, but it made this sound like it was working really hard to heat the rollers. But I found out that looks can be deceiving. I love these hot rollers so much. Pros: the velvet rollers don't burn my finger tips, it's gentle on my hair when I remove them and they are light when on your head. Cons: the lid is kind of fragile which break easily (I chips apart of mine); also I'm not fond of the pins that comes with the rollers so I ended up using bobby pins, which works wonderfully. Overall the product works very well, but how long will they last me, I don't know.
Suitable for all lengths of hair - GOOD September 11, 2008 I really like this product of Conair , its 3 different sets of sizes is suitable for different lengths of hair. Gets pretty hot & helps your curls get fast & firm. One back log about it is , you might want to leave it for a considerable amount of time to make it hot enough , it says 10 mins of the box , but leave it for at least 20 mins
