Quality product November 30, 2008
These covers do their job well...and they don't feel like the usual waterproof covers of yesteryear - in fact you won't even know they are there.
They are great for protecting your mattresses from the inevitable effects of kids.

I wanted to protect my brand new fancy mattress, knowing that perspiration and body debris was about the only thing that would ruin it over time and a mattress condom is very hard to get on and off compared to a stretch pad on a big and heavy bed.
The size is perfect for a pillow top queen and the sheer sides are adequate, not too thin and tuck under nicely. It's a waterproof layer in between two cotton layers and when you wash it you will need to spin dry it at least twice, when they say waterproof they mean it and the water pools in the random pockets that get created when washed.
If this pad is durable over years' time, it will be cheap insurance for an expensive mattress, just don't overheat it when drying it and damage the inner layer.

This pad is great! It's actually very quiet. we had a plastic sheet before (because we have little ones that like to sleep on mommy and daddy's bed...) and it worked, but this is such a better solution. It's comfortable, and quiet. We even left the plastic sheet on at first, and this pad quieted the plastic underneath it. I would totally recommend it for anyone who needs a waterproof pad. Compared to normal pads, I would say this is pretty comprable, even.
