hands free August 17, 2008 I am sorry that I bought this brand of dispenser. The neck is too narrow to easily fill. The sensor frequently fails to register and it erratically dispenses soap. It leaks all over the counter. The base slides across the counter. Price is too high for such a problematic item.
OK, But I Miss My Soap Genie June 27, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had the Soap Genie from Sharper Image sitting by my kitchen sink for several years and absolutely loved it. It's great to be able to get soap to wash my hands after handling raw meat! Unfortunately it finally died and I decided it was time for a new one.
I received this dispenser and put it together easily and started using it right away. I have no problem with its functionality, or the amount of soap it dispenses (we have it set on low), or the way it looks. But it's definitely "touchy". If I don't get my hand in the right spot no soap will come out - until I move my hand away and then the soap comes out and lands on the bottom of the dispenser. Most of the time it works fine, and I probably just have to learn where to put my hand, but it's annoying. It actually reminds me of how the Soap Genie started to behave when it was on its way out, and I hope it's not a bad sign for this dispenser.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, I just can't give it 5 stars because I know how much nicer it could be.
Great idea- wastes soap May 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love the germ free idea of this product. We do use it all the time. It works seamlessly every time. My only problem is that it dispenses way too much soap. We have it on the lowest setting and it still spits out a ton of soap.
Stopped working within two days March 23, 2008 As noted in reviews on other sites, this product basically doesnt work. It worked for a day, then the sensor gave out. I would recommend very highly that nobody buy it and avoid products made by this manufacturer.
greatest soap dispenser ever! January 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
simple, easy and effective. You can get hands dirty while cooking or whatever and avoid making the sink and faucet the dirtiest surfaces in the house. Fantastic and I encourage all to get one!
