 Bed X-Tender works great! June 14, 2008
The makers have not made ordering very easy, with all of the different model numbers on some sites, and just a few on others. I had my doubts as to whether it would fit, but these items are very adjustable for width. Well constructed and easy to put together. We use it for a bench at the motocross track and there is no flex in it at all.
Also, I was concerned that the latches that come with it are different from the "quick latch" that is an option. Mine came with what appeared to be the quick latch and they work great. If you get one of these, don't order the quick latches until you see what comes in the box.

Extends my bed 2.0 feet which is good since the Sport Trac has a short bed. Perfect for strapping tailgate short grill on the back.

This product is worth the money and time to install. My 2007 New Body style Silverado looks better with the extender. It allows me greater use of the truck. Purchase was not wasted.

The bed extender was easy to put together and was easy to attach to the side of truck. The template supplied help alot.

I bought this extender for my 2001 Ford Supercrew.
Fit was perfect - Instructions not perfect, but adequate - Installed in less than 2 hours - I did have to cut a small piece out of my bedliner so that latches would fit flush, but no big deal with a dremel tool. Price at Amazon about the best you can do for this item - especially with free shipping. My bed is now right at 2 feet longer and what a difference this is going to make at Lowes!
Don't hesitate - get you one!
