4 out of 5 stars It comes in handy   August 19, 2008

I've had a few keyring multitools, and this is the one I've kept the longest. As others have mentioned, it wouldn't be hurt by the addition of a knife, but I fly often enough that having to pack my keyring in checked luggage is annoying, so I don't really miss it.

It's incredibly solidly built and surprisingly powerful - the wire snips will cut through pretty much anything you can fit in there, and the grooves on the handles (apparently for measuring things) make it easy to grip. The screwdrivers will handle most tasks that I encounter without a problem.

The way the handles are jointed means that, even if the rivet loosens, tit won't open itself up and fall off your keyring, as other tools I've used have tended to do. And it all fits into a tiny, light package.

It's no Leatherman, but it does what it does very well.

5 out of 5 stars Great pocket tool   June 2, 2008
I have had many pocket tools but this is the one that continues to stay in my pocket. It's light and has all of my most needed tools. I install and maintain computer networks, and I use it constantly to get into and out of servers, racks, cabinets and many other devices that I deal with daily.

3 out of 5 stars A bit disappointing...   February 14, 2008

I got this to replace my old basic swiss army knife keychain. Looks like a very slick design, but maybe not as great in practice. First, it's missing a knife. This is remedied with the Utili-key (which is an awesome tool, see my separate review), but I think it should have a knife. More importantly, the function isn't great. The pliers aren't spring-loaded, which, given their size, would help a lot. When using the pliers, the arms tend to pivot, which also hurts usability. Lastly, the build quality isn't great. Mine didn't feel like it fit together right, and none of the moving parts moved smoothly. A leatherman squirt p4 is about the same size, and is a much more solid/practical tool (I got the utili-key, swiss-tech, and leatherman at the same time, since I couldn't decide). If you don't need the pliers, definitely get the Utili-key. Otherwise, the leatherman is the better choice.

5 out of 5 stars Very solid!!   January 7, 2008
Has a good range of screw drivers, small and large, pliers are strong. Wire strippers present, not a strong point I was looking for. Have it on my key ring now. Would buy it again.

3 out of 5 stars Great little tool, one vital flaw.   January 3, 2008

This is a handy little tool, well made and a good price. But it doesn't 'lock' onto a key ring, if both 'arms' extend through shaking or similar activity it will fall off. So beware or you'll lose yours like I lost mine. I don't think I'll be buying another because of this problem.
