Receiver Adapter adapts a 2 inch receiver to a 1 1/4 inch receiver. - The limiting factor is the capacity of your hitch. Using a hitch extender will reduce your hitch's overall capacity by Half.

The 1st one was an empty box (shipping problems) but the replacement was super. Ya'll helped greatly and were super. The info about product was right.

This item is not what it appears. I needed a 1-1/4" to 2" hitch adapter, as pictured (the description says differently). What I received was a 2" to 1-1/4". I also did NOT receive any hitch extensions or anything else with it, as both the picture and description seem to indicate. The item was returned (thankfully for a full refund with postage paid!)
Hidden Hitch 80300 Receiver Adapter - good buy August 7, 2008
I am very pleased with my hitch adapter and felt it fairly priced. I can now use my husband's hitch hook ups on my car - bike rack, luggage rack, etc.

Well constructed, heavy duty, exactly what you need to extend the hitch out about 6 inches and convert from 2" to 1 1/2" to put my bike rack on my truck.
