Python Fuel Pump - cheap alternative to GM January 2, 2008

I purchased this pump for less than $75 vs. paying $300+ for a new assembly. The pump came rather quickly (2 days). It was easy to replace. Unfortunately, it did not pump when we first put it in. (should have checked before installing). We pulled the unit, primed it with a little fluid and after some work it fired up fine; it may have just stuck a bit from sitting on the shelf. Its been in the truck for almost a month now with no problems what so ever; plus, it doesn't whine like the old unit did!
I can't complain. If your pump is out, I'd suggest going with this cheap alternative to the complete assembly any day!
