 Not sticky enough - peels off July 26, 2010

I've used a lot of packing tape over the years and I am dissatisfied with this brand. Although the tape is strong it doesn't stick to the boxes very well. I've come back to boxes that I back a few hours ago to find the tape has peeled right off.

Well, this tape doesn't cost much to begin with, but I started selling about 60 used books at this site two weeks ago and I can tell the difference (big time). I ran out of this tape last month and bought a generic brand at a big box store to save a buck or two and all the stuff did was stick to itself. It was a nightmare. In this case--not in most cases though--purchasing the brand name product pays off in the long run.

I usually use Scotch packing tape. The mailing and storage tape is lighter duty. I wouldn't purchase this for my purposes again, but it is adequate for storage. I ordered this weight in error and it would have cost me too much to return it.
Not as good as the "Packaging" type February 21, 2010

This is a decent tape but not as good as the "Packaging" type. The Packaging type is thicker and more resistant than the Mail and Storage type. This tape feels somewhat cheap and prompts me to double tape everything.

It's a high quality tape. It's very thick and not easily tearable; you can only tear it if you make a cut in it first. It's very strong and perfect for sealing boxes. There's a lot of tape on each roll and it lasts forever, at least it seems that way to me. And I love the 3 packs, because they're a good deal, in fact I try to get the 6 packs if I can because I can always find a use for them, from taping packages to school projects to fixing random things about the house.
