Amazon.com The folks at Corona Clipper know that pruning is an art. This aluminum-handled bypass lopper features their innovative StrataShear blade technology, designed to reduce friction and require less force for cutting. The carbon-steel blade on this model can handle branches up to 2-1/2 inches in diameter and can be resharpened. The handles are lightweight, so your strength won't be wasted carrying the tool around, and the grips are soft and easy on your hands. Rather than using a spring, these loppers have the Alcryn ShockStop bumper to reduce fatigue. This tool is great for both professional and home use.
Amazon.com Product Description The Corona Clipper stratashear 32-inch professional bypass lopper features a 2-1/2-inch cutting capacity and Corona's new stratashear technology. Stratashear is a patented three-stage system used to reduce friction and improve cutting efficiency. The stratashear technology consists of a radial arc coupled with a forged Coronium steel alloy blade for abrasion resistance. Next, a fluropolymer layer is added, giving the blade nonstick, continuous lubrication. The result of the stratashear combination allows for cutting up to 32-percent easier than standard loppers. The bypass blades can be re-sharpened, and the light, sturdy aluminum handles feature Corona's ShockStop bumpers to reduce fatigue. The unit comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

Returned November 22, 2008 I returned this lopper to Amazon because it was advertised as made in the USA and when I got it it was made in Mexico. That was over a month ago and the Amazon ad still says Made in USA. Maybe they got a different shipment or something. I didn't want to rate the lopper having never used it but they made me do it so I gave it 3 stars for looking like a quality lopper. I'm just trying to buy USA made stuff.
Excellent quality lopper September 30, 2008 Not much to say: this is a quality item. Works great and a pleasure to use.
GREAT LOPPERS August 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After looking at a large number of loppers, I selected this product, and I couldn't be happier. I just receently had to cut up a number of large tree limbs and these loppers did an excellent job.

Thanks to the people who posted earlier on this item. This tool is worth every penny--the anvil action, the light weight, the reach, the cutting quality. It really holds an edge and the cutting action is superior to other loppers. I bought this in 2004 and it cuts as well as the day it arrived.
Good for most cutting jobs but not best for everything. June 18, 2004 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have had an anvil looper for a long time. The anvil looper has a gear mechanism that increases the leverage. It easily cut up to 2-inch branches with one slice. But the blade finally became dull and I could not find a replacement so I decided it was time to buy a new one. I had a difficult time deciding between an anvil or bypass looper. I decided on the bypass because it has 2 ?-inch cutting capacity and long 32-inch handles for leverage. They should have said 2 ?-inch capacity if you can cut it because you can't cut through a 2 or 2 ?-inch tree branch without attacking it several times from various angles. That makes cutting vary difficult. On smaller stuff it cuts great but then the long handles become awkward.
It is a good cutting tool for brush and small branches but next time, when I must buy another one, it will be an anvil.
