5 out of 5 stars Drill Doctor saved me a fortune!   January 9, 2007

I got this Drill Doctor 400 "factory reconditioned" kit, and I put it in "quotes" because it sure looked and worked like brand new to me! I had a large quantity (note I said "had") of worn drill bits that were unusable, and several drill bit cases that had half of the bit sizes missing out of the holes. I counted 71 twist bits I sharpened from the "junk" box I had them all thrown into, and now the box is empty! I was able to completely restore every one of them to sharp enough to shave with them (please don't try THAT at home!). I also went through all the drill bit cases I had and sharpened another several dozen to brand new condition. It took around 30 seconds each. AWESOME! All I need now is an easier means of sharpening auger bits and wood spade bits. Any suggestions?! This was a great investment that was far too long in coming. Don't wait, you won't believe how well it works.
