The DEWALT DCK988X combination kit offers both the DC988 Hammerdrill and DC825 Impact Driver. The DC988 hammerdrill uses the DEWALT high-efficiency motor to deliver 500 inches per pound of torque for application of large drilling and driving, but at the weight of only 5.95 pounds. The DC988 is designed with a three speed transmission and offers a maximum speed of 2,000 rpm, 38 percent faster than high speed, and 34,000 bpm to allow for high performance drilling in masonry applications. This ergonomically styled hammerdrill features a unique 1/2 inch ratcheting chuck with carbide jaws prevents bits from slipping. It is also designed to store standard nut drivers, screwdriver, and bit tip holders. If you’re looking to drive in a lot of screws for light to medium jobs, the DEWALT DC825 1/4 inch Heavy-Duty 18 Volt Impact Drive is the right choice for you. It’s compact, lightweight size offers convenience in maneuvering into all those hard to reach places and it even features a small battery back at just 4.6 pounds, so it’s never weighed down. Ergonomically built with textured anti-slip comfort grip, the DC825 is comfortable to use and additionally includes replaceable brushes for increased serviceability. Additional components to the DEWALT DC825 include: frameless motor with changeable brushes, multiple speed and reversible switch, and 0-2,400 rotations per minute & 0-2,700 impacts per minute for faster application.
