The 3500 joule surge protection is great (if that's actually what it does), especially for this price. Couldn't find anything like it anywhere else.

I bought these for all my outlets that had electronic equipment attached (this includes just about every outlet in the house). So far I have not seen the units in action but from other reviews I thought it worth the investment. Especially in our Texas Spring storms. When I travel it will be reassuring some of the electric items that cannot be unpluggeed will be safe.
