Amazon.com Product Description The Fiskars pro chopping axe features a high quality drop-forged steel blade for maximum durability and sharpness. The blade is also treated with a non-stick coating for smooth cuts and rust resistance. The axe head has been insert-molded into the handle to ensure that the axe head will never get loose. The axe handle is 28-inches long for maximum leverage, and made from a super-strong Nyglass material--a strong, but lightweight nylon/fiberglass composite that provides long-lasting durability. The axe also includes a blade sheath for safe storage and easy transportation and includes a limited lifetime warranty.

What a great axe... October 5, 2008 This axe goes through wood like a hot knife through butter. Well balanced and a pleasure to use.
Handy axe September 30, 2008 This axe is really nice to use. It's really light, but that lets you swing it harder, so it's still very effective. Have had good luck chopping, and even splitting small stuff. Highly recommended.
best axe August 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have owned this axe for over 4 years. I have hand spit over 20 chords of wood with it and it is still going.
It's no Estwing July 4, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The bottom Line is, the handle is fabulous, The head Suxs...It's far to thick for any serious chopping and it just doesn't hold an edge well. I bought this thinking it could compete with my brother's ole Estwing, well, It couldn't; I should have known better. There is potential but with it's current design it is just not worth the cost..
Fiskars Pro Axe #7858 In Action!!!! May 10, 2008 I received this axe today, having received the Fiskars Power Gear Loppers yesterday - wow!!! Cleaning a lot, thinning it out and removing roots is going to be a lot easier. BTW, I told my wife I had gotten them for her Mother's Day Gift.....of course I was joking, but she's not about me sleeping in the pickup!!!! But Fiskars products are first rate.
