Will buy again January 4, 2009 I know there are some bad reviews out there for this litter system, but compared to what's out there now, I think this is a better one. yes, the poop smells but I scoop it up and flush it down the toilet. No mess and no garbage to throw out. The pad work great on pee. And there's no track to clean up every day. With regular litter, my cats track litter all over the house. Not so anymore. This is a good product.
Great litter December 18, 2008 I really like this Breeze litter system. The pellets are easy to deal with and my house no longer smells like cat waste. They're not too spendy if bought in bulk. It didn't take very long to train my cat to use them.
Pretty good December 18, 2008 The pellets really do seem to work for me. I have 5 cats and 5 boxes. I scoop daily and yes, I lose pellets every time. The replacement cost, including pads and pellets, is working out to about the same as my old Omnipaw-and-clumping-litter method, but it all feels much cleaner. First, as much as I loved the Omnipaw, this is still easier to clean since there's less to scoop. I change the pads and rinse the urine tray about once a week and haven't had any problems with overflow or smell (and not having to touch the pad is wonderful - it tips straight into the bin liner). The pellets can be rinsed while in the upper tray but I haven't had to do this much. The biggest drawback is that whenever someone has a loose poo, it doesn't get covered with clay so it does smear onto the litter box and even the scoop. (Flushable wipes, used immediately, take care of it with no problem).
I don't think the system is saving me any money, but with Amazon's subscription service I never have to make an emergency litter run, the litter boxes seem cleaner and easier to empty, and there's much less tracking around the box. I think this system provides a much better solution for an equivalent cost.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! October 26, 2008 You have to try this. After buying two electronic machines that broke, this is the best thing I can say I have ever invested in... Seriously! There is no smell and I am so excited to not have to use the dusty litter. Never again! My husband and I got the unit as a deal of the day and then spent about 80 for what we consider a year supply of pads and litter. We actually did not even replace the "litter" (plastic pellets) for over a month. It stays so clean. Our cat is finnicky too - where she only likes to go in certain spots with certain litters. We bought this and added a few pellets to her existing litter at the time as recommended and she picked up on it right away... I think she prefers it because nothing gets stuck to her feet and she's not "going" on top of other spots. I will recommend this product to everyone that has a cat. This truly is a wonderful product!
Works, but still sticks to poop. Washable! October 26, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I got my 6-pack in a larger bag that was packed in a cardboard box about 2 weeks ago - no tears or rips in any of the packs. Thanks to the Amazon Subcription Service, cat litter is now delivered to my door with free shipping and I don't have to lug a 20lb bag from the store anymore.
Reason for the 4 stars: Poop still sticks to the pellets and I lose a few everytime I scoop, and it does not control poop odor. But that's ok, I just use an air freshener spray. I use 1.5 bags each time since 1 pack doesn't seem to be enough.
Anyway, the pellets are washable! I poured the used litter into the bottom part of an old hooded litter box that had hot water and antibacterial handsoap in it (I use the hood for the Breeze litterbox!). I let it soak for about 20 mins whilst I washed and dried the Breeze litter box, changed the pee pad, and poured in a new bag of litter. I used an old kitchen/dish brush that has a long handle and sort of "scrubbed" the used pellets in the soapy water for a few minutes and then drained the brownish "poop" water into the toilet bowl and then rinsed it out a number of times until the water was clear. Drained it as much as I could, and then left the box in the bathtub with the window open to air-dry it, and closed the tub screen so my cat wouldn't think he had an extra litter box in the bathtub! The pellets were clean and completely dry within 2-3 days. I poured some of it into the litterbox so there'd be more pellets than just 1 bag, and the rest, I poured into the empty bag and tied it up with rubber band. Great! This will save me some money on litter as I'm trying to cut down on expenses.
